Pre - qualification procedure for Tender T1 - WWTP Nablus - East and Nablus East Sewerage Network Construction of Sewerage Networks / Transmission Mains and Design - BuildConstruction Nablus East Wastewater Treatment Plant . The Tender Process is subject to the , , Guidelines for the Procurement of Goods , Works and Associated Services in Financial Cooperation with Partner Countries . Refer to https : / / www . kfw - entwicklungsbank . de / International - financing / KfW - Development Bank / Publications - Videos / Publication - series / Guidelines - and - contracts / The general objective of the project is to implement wastewater collection , treatment and disposal systems in Nablus East including the surrounding villages . The scope of work is sub - divided into two construction lots and contains : Lot Transmission Mains / Sewerage Network ( based on Employer ' s Design ) Currently the collected wastewater from Nablus East is discharged by several outlets into the WadiSajour . The aim of this construction lot is to abandon the existent sewage discharge points , and to transport the communal and industrial wastewater collected in the catchment areas Nablus East , Al Mazaken , Azmout , Deir Al Hatab , Salem and BeitFurik to the WWTP location . For this purpose , various transmission mains , main and secondary collectors , special manholes and compact pump stations shall be implemented . The final section of the MCS Main Collector South has to be constructed by micro tunnelling . In a nutshell , the planned investment sub - measures under Lot I comprise : Connection Catchment Area Al Masaken

Villages ) ND 600 , L = 35 m Lot II Wastewater Treatment Plant Nablus East ( plant and design - build according FIDIC Yellow Book ) The treatment plant Nablus East will be tendered as a functional design - build system . With regard to the process technology , an activated sludge plant for carbon and nitrogen removal shall be implemented . In the first implementation stage Nablus East WWTP will have a design capacity of 115 , 000 PE ( design horizon 2030 ) . According to the tender outline design , the arrangement of Nablus WWTP comprises the following process units : Wastewater Treatment Plant :
Inlet Pumping Station PS EV to connect the eastem villages Azmout , Deir Al Hatab , Salem and BeitFurik . Pressure Pipeline OD 450 , L = 750 m Primary Treatment ( Septage Receiving Stations , Stormwater Overflow , Stone Trap , Coarse and Fine Screens , Grit Chamber , Primary Sedimentation Tanks ) Secondary Treatment : ( Aeration Tanks , Final Sedimentation Tanks , Retum and Excess Sludge Pumping Station , Effluent Metering and Service Booster Station ) Sludge Treatment : ( PS Gravity Thickener , Biofilter , Mechanical Thickening Unit for Excess Sludge , Anaerobic Digester , Sludge Storage Tanks , Mechanical Sludge Dewatering , Sludge Storage Area ) Gas Treatment : ( Gas Holding Tank , Gas Treatment , CHP Units )
Buildings : ( Administration Building , Power Supply Building and Work Shops ) The tentative completion periods for the works under Lot Il are :
Design Period : 4months Construction period : 24 months Commissioning / Performance Testing prior to Taking Over : 5months
Defects liability period : 24 months • Operational Assistance : 24 months Prequalification Procedure :
The intention of the prequalification contest is to invite interested eligible Interational Main Contractors or International Joint Ventures ( the so - called " Tenderer " ) in cooperation with Local Palestinian Sub - Contractors to submit their prequalification documents . Only bidders with an average tumover of at least 30 million Euro per year ( over the last 5 years ) and with > 2 satisfactory completed wastewater treatment plant Design - Build Contracts with contract costs > 10 Mio Euro ( within the last 10 years ) shall apply for these PQ documents . The complete PQ documents in English language can be requestedthrough official business letter correspondence ( submitted by e - mail or fax ) from Nablus Municipality - Tendering Department . The PQ documents will be available until 30 . 04 . 2020 .
