8 Invitation for Bids ( IFB )

Rehabilitation of Rafah Wastewater Treatment Plant
Bid No .: CMWU - OXFAM NS W 04-07 / 2020 1. The Coastal Municipalities Water Utility ( CMWU ) has received a grant from The Center for Disaster
Philanthropy ( CDP ) through Oxfam toward the cost of “ COVID - 19 Response in Occupied Palestinian Territory ; Rehabilitation of Rafah Wastewater Treatment Plant " , and intends to apply part of the pro ceeds of this grant to payments under contract for Rehabilitation of Rafah Wastewater Treatment Plant .
The CMWU is interested in execution and supervision of the implementation of the Project . 2. The CMWU invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders registered within the official authori
ties and be officially registered in tax authorities . The qualified bidders shall be classified by the Palestin
ian National Classification Committee under “ Second Class in the field of water and wastewater " 3. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be obtained by interested bidders from CMWU
main office ( Address mentioned below ) starting from 27 July 2020 ( from 08:30 AM to 3:30 pm from
Sunday to Thursday ) , E - mail : cmwu@cmwu.ps . 4. Pre - bid meeting followed by site visit will be held on Wednesday , 05 August 2020 at 10:00 AM at
CMWU main office . 5. Bids shall remain valid for a period of 90 days after the deadline for receipt of bids . 6. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 2,000.00 US Dollars ( or equivalent ) valid for 120 days
after the deadline for receipt of bids . 7. Bids shall be submitted to the address mentioned below attached with a valid Classification Certificate
on or before Tuesday , 11th August 2020 at 14:00 PM Local Time at which , the bids will be opened in the
presence of the bidders > representatives who wish to attend . 8. Electronic bidding will not be permitted . 9. bids received after the closing time will be rejected . 10. The contractor should provide a stamped ( Zero - VAT ) invoice . 11. CMWU reserves the right to award batches separately or in any combination . 12. The CMWU is not committed to the lowest bid price and under no obligation to accept any tender . 13. The cost of announcement will be paid by the successful bidder .
