Ministry of Strengthening of Sustainable Livelihoods in
Rural Areas ( Livelihoods ) Request for Quotations for the procurement of Greenhouse Cover Films ( Plastic Sheets ) as part of the COVID - 19 Emergency Response Measures
The Strengthening of Sustainable Livelihoods in Rural Areas ( Livelihoods ) Programme is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit ( GIZ ) on behalf of the German Ministry of International Cooperation and Development ( BMZ ) . It aims to strengthen the livelihoods of the rural population in the Palestinian Territories . Therefore , the Livelihoods Programme applies a multi - level approach , that includes measures : 1 .to increase the capacities of the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture - in
particular of its regional extension departments - to deliver improved
advisory services and planning processes to the rural population ; 2 to improve the conditions for increased agricultural productivity ( e.g.
water availability ) ; 3. to improve the conditions for income generation and employability in
Palestine's agricultural sector ( e.g. market access ) . To ensure agricultural production during the Winter planting season 2020 as well as to support future food security , the Livelihoods Programme seeks to support Palestinian farmers through the procurement of greenhouse cover films ( plastic sheets ) . This is part of the prgramme's COVID - 19 Emergency Response Measures . Within this context , the Livelihoods Programme seeks qualified locally registered agricultural suppliers to provide the Programme with the required goods , and hereby invites qualified entities to submit offers . Interested agricultural suppliers can download all relevant documents starting September 10,2020 until September 28 , 2020 from our tendering website https://tender.gizpal.ps . Duly signed and stamped bids should be send to the e - mail PS_Quotation@giz.de no later than_October 1 , 2020_before 15:00 .
