On behalf of the German Federal Foreign Office , the GIZ project " Flex- ible Implementation Mechanism for the Middle East " is supporting the Palestinian Civil Defense in their mandate to provide professional disaster and emergency responses and protect the Palestinian people and their liveli- hoods from natural and man - made disasters and other emergencies .

GIZ is seeking to procure 3M Scott Safety Firefighting Breathing Ap- paratus for the Palestinian Civil Defense .
