The project , financed by KfW , aims to develop a customized Envi- ronmental and Social Management System ( ESMS ) for EPCGF which aligns with the requirements of KfW's Sustainability Guideline ( February 2021 ) [ 1 ] , the IFC Performance Standard 1 ( PS ) , and World Bank Environmental and Social Standard ( ESS ) 9 : Financial Intermediaries ( FIs ) . It also includes delivering capac- ity building , support and guidance to the EPCGF team .
